Nouakchott-Oumtounsy 

International Airport

The new international airport of Nouakchott Oumtounsy is the largest airport in Mauritania. It started operation in June 2016 and can welcome 2 million passengers a year Two runways, one of 2400m and the other of 3400m, allow the landing and takeoff of larger aircraft like the Airbus A380.

Visa Requirements

 

Citizens of the following 9 countries can visit Mauritania without a visa:

• Algeria

• Côte d’Ivoire

• Gambia

• Libya

• Mali

• Niger

• Senegal

• Syria

• Tunisia

Please note that all other nationals require a visa, this can be delivered on arrival at the Nouakchott Oumtounsy International Airport. Visas issued at Nouakchott airport are for a single entry and for a duration of 30 days. Visa fee is €55 (euro) More information can be found here
