"Having also attended the previous edition of Mauritanides Conference and Exhibition, I can see that the event has continued to grow. There are more participants this time and the quality of the Mauritanides event has also improved a lot. This is a good place for networking and we have seen more international government and private sector participants from countries such as Senegal and Morocco."

"It’s the fifth edition of Mauritanides and it has become considered as an important event in the international agenda of the extractive sector. The characteristic of this forum is the combination of petroleum companies and mining companies, which is rare in other events as we usually see events focused on only one sector. However, in Mauritanides we have all the extractive sector family in the same forum. It is excellent because we can meet investors in different sectors, we can also meet major company for petroleum and for mining. I think the event is a success; it is a good place for networking and a real opportunity for strengthening the partnership. It is important to highlight that Mauritania is an opportunity for investors to invest in the extractive sector because it is progressing well. "

Chemsdine Sow Deina, Director of Mines, SMHPM, Mauritania

"This Mauritanides forum was launched in 2010 for the first time and has been progressing every edition. This year is better than 2016 edition because it has a progressed 40% to 45% and we have more than 1500 participant from different countries and approximately 30 different nationalities. We also have approximately 60 panelists and speakers. We are happy with the quality of the organization based on we hear from the attendees. And the subjects that discussed at the conference were also interesting for the investors and the participants, including those from the academic sectors and for students."
