Al Mourabitoune Conference Center, Nouakchott, Mauritania
Mauritanides 2018 Conference & Exhibition’s home is a brand new international conference centre that can receive more than 60 delegations has been built near Nouakchott-Oumtounsy Airport.
The conference centre has a sitting capacity of 4 500, 300 offices and presidential relaxation areas. It was completed in 2018 and was the venue for the 31st Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in June. The new international airport of Nouakchott Oumtounsy is the largest airport in Mauritania. It started operation in June 2016 and can welcome 2 million passengers a year Two runways, one of 2400m and the other of 3400m, allow the landing and takeoff of larger aircraft like the Airbus A380.
