Dr. Ahmed Hamoud holds a PhD in Petrology-Metallogeny from the University of Ibn Tofail (Morocco) and Master degree from the High School Geology of Nancy (ENSG), France.

With more than 13 years of experience, He is currently Associate Professor of Geology at the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania. He is a member of the research team of West African Exploration Initiative (WAXI 4). He has published several papers and attended international conferences. He is coordinator of the 1st International Geosciences Conference in Mauritania.
